 The Rose House.
Gone back to 1913, this postcard evokes the Rose House close to the farm of “Ajoux“.
One wonders about the identity of the artist. Is it Blanche Hoschedé-Monet which with the example of his father-in-law combed on the reason. Boarding house, it tried to attract the tourists by these argument unstoppable : garden of 1 hectare, situation in full field, large veranda, cooks famous and... electricity.
The Bridge.
The first postcards of Giverny travelled since 1900. That representing the old bridge which spans Epte border between the Island of France and Normandy is known under multiple alternatives. Too much narrow for a growing circulation it was replaced during years 1980... |
