- 1896-1897 Studies at the Art Students League in New York.

- 1897-1898 Moves to Paris and enrolls to the Académie Julian, in the studio of Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant and Jean-Paul Laurens. Also a student of James McNeill Whistler at the Académie Carmen.
