LE MOULIN DES CHENNEVIÈRES

The Moulin des Chennevières is located just a short walk from Claude Monet’s House and Gardens as well as from the Museum of the Impressionism. The origins of the mill date back to the 17th century, when it was a mill for grinding grain. In 1850 the American painter Stanton Young transformed the mill into a home with a large painting studio. The artist Theodore Robinson painted numerous pictures of the mill which have been exhibited all over the world. Today the Moulin des Chennevières is a comfortable country house surrounded by a park covering 3 hectares and providing a home for numerous species of exotic animals. Bicycles are available for guests to discover the surrounding area. A “table d’hôtes” dinner is available by reservation only. A copious breakfast is served in the dining room or, weather permitting, in the garden on the banks of the river running through the property. MAP F 15 .

The "Lilacs" Room : Room available with double bed or 2 twin beds.

The "Daisies" Room : Former painting atelier with two beds (one double with canopy).
Beds : 63 x 79 (in.), 55 x 75 (in.) . Private shower and WC. Independent entrance.
Small sitting area in the room. Room opens onto the property and has a view of the hills of Giverny.
Rates are for 1 night : 130 € for 2p. for 1 bedroom. 140 € for 2p. for 2 bedrooms. 160 € for 3 or 4 p.

2nd Floor : The “Poppies” Room. View of the garden, the animals and the river.

3rd and 4th Floors : The "Bamboo" Room (mini-apartment) in the Tower. Equipped with a kitchen corner. Private Shower and WC on 3rd Floor. Double bed (160 cm X 200 cm) or twin beds. Unrestricted view of all four directions of the village. Rates (6 days minimum stay) 70 € per day, breakfast not included. Price as regular B&B room : 85 euros for 2 people / 1 night. Without kitchen.

A “tables d’hôtes” dinner is available by reservation, 28 € per person, all inclusive. A copious breakfast is served in the dining room or, weather permitting, in the garden on the banks of the river running through the property. Breakfast is included in the rates.
